Chris is the former Chief of Police for the Bishop Police Department and is a decorated 35 year veteran of law enforcement and currently serves as the Deputy Director of Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
Chris joined the US Army in 1982 where he served in the Military Police Corps. After his honorable discharge from active duty, he continued to serve in the Army National Guard as a scout assigned to an Armored Cavalry Unit, and then in the US Army Reserve assigned to a criminal investigation unit. In 1984 he joined the ranks of the Barstow Police Department where he served as patrol officer, firearms and defensive tactics instructor, Field Training Officer (FTO), SWAT Sniper, entry team leader, background investigator, academy instructor and field supervisor.
He also served as a primary instructor for front sight firearms academy from 1999 to 2002. Chris has been instructing law enforcement, military and civilians in all aspects of force options and defensive arts for over 25 years. He has an associate of science degree in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In addition, Chris is also a graduate of the FBI national academy and is a certified use of force analyst.
